"Alisson"
The Champions of England were struggling, Liverpool hadn’t followed their first title in 30 years with a good campaign and were looking to be out of the race for the all-important Champions League qualification they sought. After 95 minutes of a frustrating trip to West Brom, Alisson Becker wandered forward and smashed a header into the back of the net. The first and only goal scored by a Liverpool goalkeeper in the club’s 130-year history. The Reds would go on to the Champions League final the following season, narrowly missing out on European glory where Alisson starred once again

Who is Alisson Becker?
Alisson Becker is a Brazilian goalkeeper who has been Liverpool’s number one since 2018. At the time of his signing, he became the most expensive goalkeeper in football history after transferring to the Reds from AS Roma for more than £60 million. Originally wearing the number 13, Alisson quickly established himself as a favourite amongst Kopites, who proudly serenade him with “Alisson Becker Allez” after every big save he makes. Alisson has gone on to become arguably the best goalkeeper in the history of Liverpool Football Club with manager Jürgen Klopp once saying, "If I knew Alisson was this good, I would have paid double."
