A moment caught perfectly in the unique glass art. Liverpool was down and out at half-time in Istanbul, May 2005. The game looked all but over until Steven Gerrard rose to meet John Arne Riise’s cross and put the Reds on the scoreboard. Flash forward 6 minutes and Liverpool were level. Gerrard played all over the pitch that night and could barely hold himself up as he lifted the European Cup over his head. This time for Liverpool, it was for keeps.

Who is Steven Gerrard?

Steven George Gerrard MBE is considered to be one of the greatest footballers in the history of Liverpool football club and possibly the best midfielder in English football history. Captain, leader, and legend, Gerrard led the Reds to multiple trophies in the 2000s, racking up over 500 appearances and becoming one of the club’s all-time leading goal scorers.
