"KOP Shanks"
Different to the rest of the collection, this glass art features Bill Shankly on the front of a 1967 edition of the Kop Paper, in which he discusses how difficult it will be for the Reds to retain their First Division title. Already a unique piece of memorabilia that highlights the club’s history, the title of the paper is outlined in gold lead to give it a unique twist.
You can rely on the quality since it’s designed on 4mm toughened safety glass. Plus, it comes with hidden fixings, so it can be positioned on the wall without a frame. Winner!
Who is Bill Shankly?
Bill Shankly is often described as the most important manager in the history of Liverpool Football Club and set the standard that all following managers are judged against. Shankly was famous for his tenacity and many quotes about football, one, in particular, being when he said, “Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.”
